Note to self: when you buy something for a party, thinking, "Oh, we'll never finish all of this ourselves before it goes bad, but if we get it for a party, we can have just the right amount of it!", it is better to actually put it out at the party. Because, self, very few people you are willing to invite into your home are likely to ransack the refrigerator demanding things you have not put out in the mountain of food but totally meant to if only you'd remembered.

Sigh.

Note to other inmates of this asylum: if you get a wild craving for jicama, we have some. Like, a pound of it. Or a pound minus three sticks, after my lunch.

Also, I am still not clear on why [livejournal.com profile] bridragon and [livejournal.com profile] beenasjournal made paper plate masks of Good [livejournal.com profile] greykev and Evil [livejournal.com profile] greykev. It will be a mystery for the ages.

It is indeed a mystery. I witnessed the event live, and I'm still not exactly sure why it happened!

I was also a witness, and I agree.

Me too. It was entertaining, though. I don't THINK that's why they did it, but you never know. Perhaps it was too crowded to juggle or do card tricks.

Yum jicama. I would gladly take some of it off of your hands. Email me if it is still available.

Actually I think we've got it covered. But thanks.

I think that every party I've ever thrown has featured at least one food item purchased or prepared for the party that never got around to getting served.

And that's not even taking into account my tendency to vastly overestimate the amount of food and booze needed for a party.

"Nobody will come, and there won't be enough to eat." Yes.

I apparently hit the fruit soda ratio exactly right this time, though; they were all gone, but just disappearing at the end of the evening. So at least that's something.

If the plate are still around, please hold onto them for me, as I forgot them and was sad.

I have not seen them since the girls had them in the library to show. I think they must have gotten swept away with the other party detritus. I'm sorry.

Sad, they were by the games closet last I saw them. My hair will never look as nice as Good Kevin's hair, nor will I snort flaming snot like Bad Kevin, so I guess in the end I'm glad I'm me.

OMG.....could someone fill me in on this event?

Cause otherwise I am just sitting and giggling.

I really don't think anyone can make sense of it. It's just that we had paper plates, and Beena started making a paper plate mask of Kev, so Bri started making a paper plate mask of Evil Kev, and then they went around asking people which they preferred. I think it was one of those times when creative kids' brains just went off on a complete tangent to the rest of the world.

If you ever have too much jicama again, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I eat it as an apple replacement.
