On the birch tree outside my window, one half of one leaf has turned yellow.

The vine maples around here are starting to turn red.

And Honeycrisp apples (my favorite variety) are in the store again.

In Northfield, one half of one tree has strewn its leaves on my mother's lawn. And that was last weekend.

we've had red leaves on the maples here since mid-August, and we can't blame the lack of rain, this year.

It's coming. Let's hope it's a VERY long autumn...

Hooray! We're starting to get brown-edged leaves here too. I'm hoping the wet summer means a glorious fall.

May you have joy of your autumn!

It's not 80 degrees yet here, at 11 in the morning. It's probably too early in the year for that to be anything but a bait-and-switch, though, and it's still more humid than we'd like.

There were definitely some trees starting to change between Albany and Montreal on Labor Day weekend.

Yay Fall!

On the birch tree outside my window, one half of one leaf has turned yellow.

And I think that is a great first line for something.

The sumac is red, and the maples are starting to look rusty. Also, it's now cold enough to want to be under the duvet at night, which is so nice.
