I have been doing that thing where I don't talk much about personal stuff in part because it's not going well. So I just thought I'd say: I had really good clinic PT today. For the first time in ages, I feel like we are definitively Getting Somewhere.

Not somewhere I can drive and, y'know, carry on my life with the usual levels of safety. But still. Somewhere.

Also I haven't fallen in over two weeks. Staggered into things, yes, but I've managed to catch myself in the middle so I haven't had any all-out falls.

I just thought I'd say.

Hooray.
And your music is my favorite Easter hymn.

It's a very special one for me--seemed appropriate after the tornado somehow, and then in other parts of my life. I've been singing it as Noel Nouvelet today because of the season, but I know that's not why the tune is in my head.

Oh. You haven't known me very long, so you might not know: my college was hit by a tornado during my junior year, when almost everyone was away on spring break. Major life event. Much destruction, much tumult, no fatalities. Not much fun. Good song, though.

at the college with the stone in the icon, ya?
That sounds... "not so great"? How's my Scandosotan?

Oh, you already said: "Not much fun." Ya.

Yah, the stone in the icon is my beloved old dorm before they tore it down. It was a terrible building but a wonderful home.

Hooray! That's wonderful news. And great congratulations on having been able to catch yourself each time you stagger into something. It doesn't sound like much fun, really, but it sounds loads better than the alternative.

Thank you for saying.

It's...oh, there's nothing interesting I can say you haven't either already thought for yourself or else realized already you don't want to hear. So, yah. It's not everything or even close, but it's something, and for what it is, it's good. And...I've got to say, I appreciate hearing about the good things, however partial, right about now.

I wish you more of the things going well, and less of the not going well. Getting Somewhere is good. Not falling is good. Having enough positiveness to make for a post is good.

Not falling is a goodness. So is that melody.

I'm glad something is going well. I'm sad other things aren't.

Well, this was one of the major not going well things for the last few weeks, so one can hope that it'll turn some of the other stuff around, too.

And some of the rest is sad but not within my control. So one can try to be philosophical there, too.

Oh, I'm glad you did say; I'd been rather assuming the other thing.

Yay for progress, and I hope it rubs off onto other parts of life also...
