...a diagnosis of maybe the tiniest teeny little bit of pneumonia.

This is my rephrasing, as the original from-the-doctor's-mouth version omitted "maybe," "the tiniest," "teeny," and "little bit of."

Just imagine how keen I am on this. Oh, just imagine. Oh, all right, fine, I will tell you instead of making you imagine: not the least bit keen. Not the least bit keen at all. I said to [livejournal.com profile] markgritter yesterday when Dr. [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin brought this up as a possibility, "I don't think I should do that having-pneumonia thing. It doesn't sound like fun to me." And here we are, and it isn't. I was right.

Harumph harumph harumph harumph.

I am going on the assumption that 2010 will get less boring and obnoxious from here.

I had pneumonia a few years ago. It was very much not fun. *hugs* I hope you feel better, soon.

My sympathies. I didn't like the pneumonia I had, either. It's a terrible houseguest. But I'm glad you have people to love you and bring you soup.

I knew it. What's the address where you get them medical diploma things? I need me one. I am that good. Get yourself fixed up. I assume Dr. Porphyrin's leaving the formalities such as exam/x-ray/prescriptions to your regular doc?

One pneumococcus is enough to spoil a party, alas.

Here's hoping that evicting the nasties goes quickly and easily, and that you are back in fighting trim ASAP.

Oh no! How unnecessary and inappropriate!

I hope the pneumonia does not hang around very long.

No, it isn't fun. But I am confident that you will cope, and defeat the stupid pathogens.

I'm really hoping that next time you'll get one of the really fun diseases. Like, um... well, maybe they'll discover a fun disease by the time you get a new one.

Sounds more like whooping cough to me.

Hell's teeth! :( Maybe you're over the worst of it though? Well, antibiotics to the rescue I guess.

Total drag. And completely unfair. You have enough illness, you shouldn't get any more. If I find the complaint desk, I'll let you know.

Commiserations--I did that one way too often as a sprat and it is so totally not fun even the tiniest little bit.

A fast recovery and may you have adequate chocolate to console you for this latest insult from callous fate!

I feel that this was misdelivered, but I don't suppose you can send it back. Pfui.

Does knowing you have pneumonia lead to anything useful, or do you just have to cosset yourself til it gets tired of you?

P.

Well that just seems unfair. Sorry to hear it. I hope it clears up as fast as this sort of thing can and takes the vertigo with it. I do realize that things don't normally work like that, but it can't hurt to ask.:)

I'm hoping that that doesn't happen to me too. I've been on Augmentin since last Tuesday afternoon, after finishing up a Zithromax on New Year's Eve.

I'm glad you got it diagnosed. I dragged around for a month a couple years ago before I broke down and went to the MD and found out that the cough-that-wouldn't-quite-go-away was pneumonia. It is sneaky stuff.

All the best for a speedy recovery.
