mrissa: (taking a break)

I have plans from now until Monday morning, essentially. Some of them are plans that go, "Sit still. Rest. Breathe." But plans they are.

Our basement contractors have promised that the basement will be ready to paint this weekend, and so we are painting it. Mostly by "we" I mean "other people than me," except that I will try to get my hand in during my steady time for the week. Now it is all fresh mudding and whiteness. By Monday morning the ceilings will be painted white and the walls will be painted green, blue, and red, depending on which room.

Among other things, this may mean that I stay behind on e-mail for awhile longer. Sorry about that. It's still me, not you. I ran some errands with [livejournal.com profile] timprov yesterday and got completely wiped out by them. This recovering from pneumonia thing: it is hard work.

If you were willing to paint the ceiling and floor the same colour as the walls, you could paint it all at once with one small basement-sized paint bomb.

I'd even be willing to help with the design. ;)

The floor is not the problem here, because right now it's the basic concrete, and we'll be putting down carpet, so if the concrete is blue under the carpet, who cares? So it would mean taping off the ceiling with a very sturdy sheet of plastic or something.

I misread the title here and thought of Iceland! Island.. which has some of the greenest greens I know. So far at least.

Maybe it's that I could use one of their hotsprings right now! Not cold by your standards, I'd guess. I was a frosted popsicle today walking back from school.

Have you gotten used to saying "walking back from school" again yet?

You know what's funny, Mris? It's been so very busy that I don't think I've had much time to (or inclination) think. Chris is still recovering from surgery and not sleeping well. We've had many fires to put out at State this week, so I have the sense of peddling very fast at work. The classes. I got offered my first chance of an art exhibit which will be Feb 5. Not though school this is a part of First night in Albany and came via facebook. And then Feb 6, we leave for Baltimore and a cruise. So I am painting and packing.

It feels good though. And thank you for asking!

The walking is good for me too. I can tell my body appreciates the exercise and fresh air. And my brain the learning of new things.

I am about 90-95% over my pneumonia. I will be glad to finish. You're right, it's exhausting.

In better news, I have not wobbled to the point of falling down in some time.
