We are having dessert and conversation after Christmas dinner, and Grandma needs you all to know that she has two friends in their nineties who are packed up to go downhill skiing. They are also quilters.

They have strapped to the top of their car: two pairs of skis and an ironing board.

This image delighted us so much we thought I should share it all with you for Christmas.

I wonder how long they're going to be gone to expect to need the ironing board for quilting ... :) Weeks?

I hope to still be downhill skiing in my 90s. That would rule ... cheap lift tickets among other reasons.

I said it just yesterday: I can't wait to be an old lady. It looks like so much fun. And Minnesota ones are the best. (That is true of most things, though. :D )

Not being a quilter, I ignored this blatant clue and wondered if the ironng board was useful for skiing practice, but it seemed one would need an assistant to continuall remove it and place it in front of one again, so probably not.
