Yesterday I got word from Daily Science Fiction that they want to publish my parenting magazine satirical short-short, "Modification or Mutation: 8 Ways a Parent Can Be Sure."

Eighty-one is not a large round number like 80. But it's a large square number, which is in some ways even better.

Yay! :)
I was just thinking, in the bookstore the other day, that what I really want is a new [livejournal.com profile] mrissa story.

Well, we can work with that, if you let me know what you've got. I sent you "CH On Enemy Ice," right? And the CH early novel chapters with the new bits with Carter and death?

It is also the last large square number before 100! Which is both large, round, and square. (This may be some sort of geometric contradiction, but it will be an awesome one once you reach it - and I have every confidence that you will.)

Yah, 100 will have to be a Thing. Possibly an Extravaganza.

It is 100. If you're missing a finger.

It's a hypercube number, not merely square.

Being as how I am someone who was born in a year ending in 81, I've quite the fondness for that particular number. Congrats!

Yay!

And I'm totally with you on the large squares. I'm particularly fond of powers of three myself. :)

Congrats!
