I was a bit occupied yesterday, so I forgot to post a link to my Daily SF story: Modification or Mutation: 8 Ways a Parent Can Be Sure. Future parenting magazine advice just for you!

I have also been reminded that Beneath Ceaseless Skies' podcasts include one of my story "The Witch's Second."

I will have more to say for myself on other fronts soon, but in the meantime there's that.

I appear to have inadvertently sapped away comments on your Daily SF story! Sorry about that.

Anyway, both of your stories are good, and people should read them and/or listen to them and like that.

I can still see the comments on your post just fine, and you remembered it was up before I did and while I didn't have the chance to post. This is nothing to apologize for.

Having recently thumbed through a stack of parenting magazines while sitting in a waiting room, I really loved the way you perfectly captured the tone of those pieces.

My friend used to refer to all the parenting magazines as varieties of Fretful Mother; Organic Fretful Mother, Working Fretful Mother, Fretful Mother of a New Baby... You have perfectly captured Future Fretful Mother - thank you so much!

After having spent the weekend surrounded by tsa 'if you see something say something!!!' posters, I am now vaguely nauseated by your story.

Uh...thanks. I think.

We have taken to announcing to each other, "I see a wall. I see a backpack. Dude...I see my fingers," and the like. Because we do see something. So we're saying something.
