I think I'm done with the necessary Christmas shopping for the year.
This doesn't preclude stocking stuffers, but.
Since it is not December, this is striking me as a tiny bit ridiculous, but not in a bad way.

Date: 2011-11-30 09:58 pm (UTC)When I was shopping for birthday cards, I found one that said on the front, "This card is a unique expression of my personality." And on the inside, "And is therefore late."
I didn't buy it only because I refuse allow myself to think of lateness-with-birthday-gifts as an expression of my personality. I'd rather think of it as a quirk of my immature self that I will eradicate when I achieve responsible adulthood. Whenever that happens.

Date: 2011-12-01 12:53 am (UTC)My grandmother, on the other hand, used to buy all our Christmas presents by, oh, August? One year in October we decided to do a white elephant gift exchange instead... she was quite peeved, as she had already bought and wrapped all our gifts and stuck them in the attic. I think she gave us some of them for Easter, but she had to unwrap them.

Date: 2011-12-01 01:34 pm (UTC)My gran used to do her Xmas shopping for the next year at the day-after-Xmas sales. Needless to say her gifts were always of the generic wallets and scarves variety. But she never forgot a birthday, which I'm beginning to see is a gift in and of itself.
