Review copy sent by publisher. Full disclosure: the poet has been an online friend of mine for the better part of the last decade.

This is a slim and lovely chapbook, thin enough to be read in one enthusiastic and poetry-drunk setting if you are inclined to be a gulper rather than a sipper of poetry, but also thin enough that it's easy to revisit and reread favorites when you're reviewing. There are odes to moss and to terraforming, poems for Barbara McClintock and Grace Hopper. I think this is a book that can reach serious poetry readers but also people who are not very committed to poetry as a field but are interested in examinations of the intersection of science and culture. These are poems for nerds of all stripes, grouped in a way that brought a familiar smile to my face. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Could you tell me who the publisher is? This chapbook sounds wonderful, but unfortunately Amazon and Powell's don't admit to knowing anything about it. (They do have a previous collection of hers.)

What a foolish oversight on my part! It's published by Parallel Press at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I can recommend Mary's previous work also.

Thank you! And ooh, I see something else on their list that looks good, too. Ordering now.
