10:00 a.m., and I've written 2000 words and demolished ten notecards.

What this means is that not only do I not have to feel guilty about going up to the city to have lunch with [livejournal.com profile] dd_b (not that I was going to bother with the guilt anyway there), but I could curl up in the corner of the couch all evening and read Soldier No More and drink Frangelico cocoa and still not have any grounds for feeling guilty.

Now if only I can get my brain to agree to that without continuing to go clacketa-thumpeta on the book....

Yes. And I'm glad to be there again. I'm just trying to take the night off.

And I know if I have my Frangelico cocoa, I won't want to work anymore, but I'm almost as wary of using alcohol not to work as I would be using it to work. So maybe a bit of chocolate instead.

I ended up having Grand Marnier Haute Fudge on a scoop of caramel ice cream. Because I am spoiled and decadent.

The Haute Fudge brand isn't as awesome as it really ought to be. We could cook up batches of ice-cream-fudge (the kind you heat and pour, I mean, not the kind you slice and eat) with Grand Marnier and have it come out better than that stuff. We'd have to buy some Grand Marnier, but still. Our raspberry infusion ice-cream-fudge is already better than their Chambord stuff for chocolate-raspberryness. I had gotten one of each Haute Fudge for my mom's birthday last year, because I was sick and not doing as much interesting stuff for her birthday as I would otherwise have liked. And then they weren't good enough that I wanted to push them on guests (we are all about good dessert when we have company). So we've been finishing them off slowly. Hmmm. Which brings to mind a question for the ages, or at least for the lj.

first of all, it's 10 a.m. and you've already hammered out 2000 words? I stand in awe of your morning person writerness.

However, good luck with getting your brain to stop going on about the novel (sez the guy whose brain wouldn't shut about his novel all night long).

Ho-leee! Congratulations!

It's 9:51 and I've had a triple venti iced latte and stared mindlessly at my email....

I'd better have a good next 9 minutes!
