My new favorite tights, shown here (scroll down to the middle of the page), are no more. Two, maybe three wearings, and then there was a big enough hole through the toe that it was showing out of my shoe. Well, fee. And I bought these at Macy's, not at Target as usual, so even if they have more, it'll be kind of a pain to go get more. SIGH. And they were more expensive than my second favorite tights, which were $3 Target specials, and have lasted less. Yarg.

In brighter news, you know how I'm often saying the Norse gods feel like my aunts and uncles in my head? Apparently they feel like my aunts and uncles in [livejournal.com profile] joel_rosenberg's head, too. And I didn't even know he knew my aunts and uncles.... (Not necessarily the same aunt/uncle per god. If you read both the Keepers of the Hidden Ways series and my Dwarf's Blood Mead, you will notice that Odin is not the same guy. Still.)

Some of my aunts and uncles are not particularly nice people.

Oh boo, hiss for the ruined tights. I was actually thinking about those tights today as I went out shopping. I found some good tights (black and blue, which were what I was looking for), but nothing really interesting ... unless, of course, you consider endless kinds of fishnet interesting. And I thought, "Why can't they have good tights like M'ris has?"

Ah, well.

I have a couple kinds of fishnet, but they're in the category of "fishnet," not the category of "interesting tights." Ooh, I don't think I've got pictures of the second-best tights. I should get some pictures.

And I still owe people pictures of jewelry, of course. It's on my list. I haven't forgotten.
