The problem with reading Scottish history is that I know too many Scottish historical songs, both Jacobite and anti-Jacobite. So I end up driving myself mad humming them. (Say nothing of the people around me.) mattgritter got me going on "Finlandia" for awhile yesterday, and that helped, and I even managed to get going on "Rave On" (Buddy Holly loff!) a bit. But last night, my dreams were threaded through with "Twa Bonnie Maidens," and I expect more of the same today.

Harumph.

I feel sure that the world -- even the friendslist -- has worse problems hanging around. Still and all. "And you're dearly welcome to YARRRRRRG again!" is not really how that song goes.

ack!!! Two references to Finlandia on LJ within 12 hours of each other *chuckle*....oooh - and in the other Finlandia reference she talks about wondering if she's listened to too much Celtic music lately because she began hearing what it would sound like on bagpipe...
