Okay, so: what specific, concrete thing do you want more of?

That is to say, not time, not money, not fame, not attention, not love.

But something that you could kick, or almost. Something that someone else could maybe read your comment and say, "Actually, I know who's making that," and point you at it.

So, you might want more cinnamon rolls that aren't totally smothered in sugary frosting. Or you might want more science fiction novels in which there could not conceivably be anybody with a gun on the cover. Or you might want more dark blue cotton shirts for long-torsoed men. More toys for young-grade-school age kids who are interested in science, packaging gender-neutral. What one thing do you want more of on a Friday afternoon, off the top of your head? Go.

More public places that don't pipe in background noise and especially background images by default. Fewer public places that use television as background white noise and give you blank looks and say things like "I don't really hear it" when you try to explain that a love of this particular flavor of white noise--and of television in general--is not so universal as those who appreciate it assume.

More clothes for plus-size women whose hips are not 10-12" larger, nay not even 6" larger, than their waist. Even when I wasn't plus size, I had this problem: if you outline my body head-on, it's pretty much a straight line from my armpits to my thighs. My mother, who was downright skinny much of her life, had the same lack-of-waistline.

Soundtracks (or other soundtrack-type things, which is to say largely instrumental music) that sound Japanese, in their instrumentation/melodic motifs/etc.

I've got a bunch of Yoshida Brothers, and the Balance CD that Solace did, and some traditional taiko and koto music (separately, not together), and the scores for Ballad and The Last Samurai and Shogun and Memoirs of a Geisha and Ôoku, not to mention a lot of music that's more Chinese or generically Asian. But for a variety of reasons, I find myself with a very large need for this kind of thing at the moment, which means I'd be grateful for any additional suggestions.

I can do the calibration myself but it tends to mean making multiple batches.

For dresses, have you tried eBay? Find a few dresses in your wardrobe that look good on you and measure them; then look for dresses with those measurements that are up for not-too-expensive auction. I've had about an 85% success rate buying from various eBay merchants, and the ones that don't fit or flatter are cheap enough that I just donate them to the local shelters and don't stress over it.

Flat shoes that actually fit my size 8 extra wide feet. At the moment I have: three almost-identical pairs of New Balance sneakers/walking shoes (two black and one white); a new pair of sandals I am hopeful about; and a pair of low winter books (in the direction of snow sneakers, not anything shiny). I am not convinced that any of these will look plausible with a suit, when I get to the "please come in for an interview" stage of job hunting. (The last time I had to deal with this problem, I dug out a pair that are slightly too narrow, changed at the last minute, and stashed the walking shoes that actually fit in a gym locker. I still have those not-quite-right shoes, but I don't really think I can assume that the next job interview, and the next, and so on will be within a couple of blocks of a branch of my gym.)

Slippers in that size with anything resembling support would also be useful. (If anyone has suggestions, note that in the New Balance I take a women's 8WW.)

You'd probably be better off with a resistive positive temperature coefficient mat rather than one with wires. No risk of short circuits or wire breakage under the pressure and stretching you'd subject it to. According to interviews, exo2 (http://www.exo2theheatinside.com/markets/custom-application.html) has done one off, custom size, temperature, power supply, and finish, products. I don't know how much they charge for the service though.
