Like many of you, I do not intend to follow Russian law regarding what minors can and cannot read about, nor do I feel that having an "adult content" marking works for me as what I have is a fundamental disagreement about appropriateness rather than a willingness to acknowledge that I am being in some way inappropriate.

So. What I would like to know is: how many of you are happy to read blog posts on non-syndicated sites? How many of you are reading Dreamwidth? And how many of you are just not going to read any content that is not on Livejournal?

My blog is at http://www.marissalingen.com/blog/ My question is whether I should bother mirroring it to my DW account or just give up on these sites completely. Having an RSS feed syndicated to DW is a middle ground option I would also be happy to hear opinions on. Or other thoughts. Whatever. Speak, friends, and...well, don't enter, but hang around a bit somewhere?

I would find it useful to to access via your DW account, or an RSS feed syndicated to DW.

I'm happy to read an RSS feed (via Feedly). Or follow you on Dreamwidth. Or continue to read here. Whichever works best for you.

I read Dreamwidth. I expect I would check your blog sporadically even if it wasn't DW-readable.

I am setting up to move over to Dreamwidth, which I have been vaguely meaning to for ages but just haven't ever quite gotten around to. I have been following you here instead of the blog because there is more comment discussion here and I like comment discussion community feeling, but I would check the blog now and then if that were the place to be. When someone mirrors content, I usually prefer to only check it at one place because otherwise I get very confused about what I have and haven't read, so if not everything is being mirrored I like to stick with whichever one has more posts/discussion.

If you were to stop blogging here and not create a Dreamwidth account, I'd probably create a DW RSS feed to keep following you, because DW is my RSS reader.

It looks like someone else already has, but I'm leaning toward just moving my crossposting.

I've finally gotten into the habit of regularly reading my DW page, and it would probably be easier for me to get at your journal through that platform, even if you just posted links to your actual blog. I am really bad at setting up and using feeds outside LJ or something similar.

I will happily read you on DW but probably won't remember to look at your website, so I'd be very grateful if you made a feed there.

I read regularly on DreamWidth. Other blogs, I tend to follow via Feedly or not at all (I just forget to visit). I will almost certainly be leaving LJ myself.

I like DW, and I do read via DW, but if you decide to do it solely via blog, I will go there. (I would just go there a couple times a week, rather than automatically.)

Thanks! I don't think that's going to be long-term necessary because I will just monkey with the crossposting so it goes to dw. But in the meantime.

I will definitely read it more consistently if you either mirror it to DW or have a syndicated RSS feed. In theory I'm willing to read blogs elsewhere, but in practice I often forget to.

At a minimum I would be very grateful for an RSS feed to follow on DW, even if all it posts is a hyperlink to a blog post. I will read blog posts willingly if that's where you are, because I would miss you very much, but tracking blogs on my own is one of the things I just can't manage.

LJ or Dreamwidth, please

Another lurker (I may have commented once or twice), one who friended you on LJ because I really liked one of your stories in Analog.

I set up a Dreamwidth account during LJ's last panic, and usually post there (when I post), so if you're going to bail on LJ, I hope you'll at least mirror to DW (I've taken the liberty of adding you to my circles there).

I wuz just gonna say "If you don't double it to Dreamwidth, I won't see it, because I never think just to go to people's blogs" - but then I saw rosefox's comment about making the RSS feed, so I subscribed to that, so I guess if I do move over to reading my DW feed instead of LJ, I will see you - but that hasn't happened yet, despite everything, so who knows...?
